Baby stuff

teeny pic of the hoodie
Lucky Jade coverall

Prior to Ella being born, I bought this super cozy cotton/cashmere hoodie by the brand Lucky Jade. I bought it on a complete whim at the boutique Doe in the lower Haight. I decided to look up the site today, just to see what else they may have.  Aside from the super cute (expensive) baby things, I got fixated on the "where to buy page". There are alot of crazy baby stores/brands out in the world. You have modern tots, kids n kribs, the nest and the cradle, macro baby...and it goes on and on. I guess we should feel lucky that we have at our fingertips everything and anything we would ever want for our child. or scared.

I love DH

Daryl Hannah has a blog - dhlovelife - did you know that? Well, it started out as a video blog, with her travels to great sustainable places (there is a clip on a restaurant that is a completely vegan burger joint, with a strippers pole) and all the people that she meets who are doing their best to change the world. I discovered it a few years ago and had not checked it since the birth of Ella...and to my surprise, she has a shop. Not just any shop..you can buy a teepee,  a ranch biobeast and an adorable cardboard playhouse.  Go get lost within DHlovelife, it's fun.

a lil girl and her story on kittens

such a pretty day

As I was riding home from work today, listening to Beta Band - 3 EP's.  I was overjoyed with the beautiful weather and how lucky I am to live in the Bay Area. My bike ride is pretty stellar, it is all along the waterfront. I tried to give  a glimpse of how cool it is, but the pictures don't do it justice. Here is a perfect weekend ride:
a. start at the ramp, have brunch or lunch, maybe even a cold pint..it is a good place to start and is on the water, it will get you ready for the lovely ride. Follow Mariposa across Third St, at your next light on your right is The Ramp.
b. after brunch go down along the water towards Kelly's Mission Rock, stay along the water and not the road.
c. cut around the cove by the ball park and stay on the third street bridge crosswalk. i share it with pedestrians
d. cut around the ball park - backside - by the marina.
e. you will now enter the embarcadero, from here you can ride all along until you feel like you need to rest.
f. some good end zones are: ghiradelli sq, stop at the steps and watch tourists or turn left on bay street and follow until you get to crissy field.  You can also get to Crissy field by staying on the path past Ghiradelli Sq. You will go up a hill and through the park, a very nice way as well.

Kat Macleod

What a brilliant Illustrator she is, I just came across her and love her stuff. She does all the illustrations for Michigirl, an Aussie style Daily Candy..check it out.

Random Faves

I pulled this one from Twenty8Twelve because of the knit vest. I need to ask my friend Leslie to help me with the pattern, so I can re-create.
I just really like this photo and the eye mask.

This is my latest project. It is canvas with layers of painted and printed fabric, composing of my family. I would like to add to this at least every year. It actually is my prefect project, never really has an ending, so you can always perfect it.
